A chance to spread Gods Word

Hello again my amazing 2 followers,

On Friday (I know I'm posting this kind of late but anyway) one of my friends was going on about how bored I must get because I don't have any consoles (I've had this conversation many times and apparently I must sit around and do nothing all day just cause I don't have a box that costs a lot of money and sits by my T.V. while I mindlessly play some stupid game)

Anyway this time I said "well I guess I have a more eternal perspective than you." (by the way he's not a Christian) That got us into quite a long conversation about what I meant by "eternal perspective"

What I had established quite a long time ago and what I hope he's slowly working out is that compared to what Heavens going to be like anything you do on earth is boring so you might as well spend your life on Earth being as close to God as you humanly can.

Now when I said the part about being close to God to him, his reaction was "yeah but it's impossible not to do anything wrong so what's the point of even trying, I've probably sinned about 10 times this morning"

That's another classic thing that non-Christians think about Christianity... "I'm not good enough" or "I can't be bothered following all those rules"
What we can see is that God loves us despite all the wrong things we do and Jesus has already took the blame for us on the Cross.

I was about to try and explain this to him when annoyingly the bell went for registration. I tried to talk to him about it again later that day but he just wasn't interested anymore.

Well I hope that I've left some sort of impression of what Christianity is really about with him and I hope this story encourages you.

I hope to leave another post soon so see you whenever that may be!

  1. Great! That's awesome! The best thing is to be humble and patient.

I also don't have a game console; but I don't think it's wrong to have one. (it might be a waste of time, though)

The cool thing about the gospel, is that it's not about "obeying the rules". It's about having "Christ in us."
