Hey everyone,
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but nothings came up to blog about
So anyway, I was thinking about our school Christian Union and about how even though our school has more than 1100 people in it, only 3 come to Christian Union.
I know that the 3 of us are Christians with good faith in God. But what I don't get is even though I know for a fact there are other Christians in the school, none of them come along, I've tried getting people to come along for a while but nothings working, I think the problem is that it's "uncool" to go to CU and even other Christians are to afraid of being made fun of to come along.
anyone have any ideas to get more people coming along?

Another chance God gave me to tell someone about him
Hi again everyone,
on Friday God gave me another great chance to talk about him.
In RME we're talking about Anne Frank. We've only just started so at one point we were talking about when she had to leave her home to go into hiding. She couldn't take a suitcase because that would make it to obvious so she could only take her schoolbag.
Then we had to pick 5 things we would take if we had to go into hiding.
One of the things I picked was my Bible. The girl who was sitting next to me looked at mine and noticed so she said to me in almost a scoffing way, "are you taking a Bible?"
Now normally I just ignore it when people try to make comments about me being a Christian but this time I just answered "yeah, why not?"
She didn't answer my question but decided to ask me another. "Do you read the Bible Every Day?"
I told her I did and she said to me "does your Mum make you read it?"
I guess she was thinking at this point, "why would anyone want to read the Bible?" so she kept asking questions like "does your Mum read it too" or " do you all read it together"
by the end of this conversation I was really thankful to God for giving me that chance because I'm pretty sure that she learned a bit about what being a Christian really is.
Well, see you all again soon, been nice blogging to you,
Jamie

A chance to spread Gods Word
Hello again my amazing 2 followers,
On Friday (I know I'm posting this kind of late but anyway) one of my friends was going on about how bored I must get because I don't have any consoles (I've had this conversation many times and apparently I must sit around and do nothing all day just cause I don't have a box that costs a lot of money and sits by my T.V. while I mindlessly play some stupid game)
Anyway this time I said "well I guess I have a more eternal perspective than you." (by the way he's not a Christian) That got us into quite a long conversation about what I meant by "eternal perspective"
What I had established quite a long time ago and what I hope he's slowly working out is that compared to what Heavens going to be like anything you do on earth is boring so you might as well spend your life on Earth being as close to God as you humanly can.
Now when I said the part about being close to God to him, his reaction was "yeah but it's impossible not to do anything wrong so what's the point of even trying, I've probably sinned about 10 times this morning"
That's another classic thing that non-Christians think about Christianity... "I'm not good enough" or "I can't be bothered following all those rules"
What we can see is that God loves us despite all the wrong things we do and Jesus has already took the blame for us on the Cross.
I was about to try and explain this to him when annoyingly the bell went for registration. I tried to talk to him about it again later that day but he just wasn't interested anymore.
Well I hope that I've left some sort of impression of what Christianity is really about with him and I hope this story encourages you.
I hope to leave another post soon so see you whenever that may be!

Esther
Hey everyone,
Our Church youth group is reading Esther for this Sunday and as usual I've left it kind of late!
Anyway, I was reading some of it yesterday and I thought nothing would surprise me that much because it's one of those stories that I've known for ages because of Sunday School and reading bible story books with Mum/Dad when I was younger.
But it definitely did surprise me! I guess now when I read the Bible I think more about the fact that it really happened and it's not just a story (my Mum did always tell me that they were true stories when she read me them but I still didn't properly think of them that way)
The sheer courage of Esther and Mordecai really shocked me because they both risked their lives for God knowing they probably would die! Esther went to the king without permission knowing that was one of the worst crimes you could commit in those days and Mordecai refused to bow for Hanan.
That got me thinking, would I risk my life for God. My head tells me I would but if the situation ever actually came along I don't know how I would react. I know I should be able to say I most definitely risk my life for God no matter what but at the end of the day I can't say I'm sure. I want to be able to say yes and I like to think that if I ever had to then I would but it's easier said than done. Now my only question is... would I?

Introduction
Hi everyone,
as the name kind of suggests this is the "introduction" to my new Blog.
I'm going to be blogging about all the chances I get to spread gods word and any new things I learn about him. I get loads of chances at school so as many as them as possible will be noted plus our Church youth group is reading through the Bible so if anything I read catches my eye I'll blog it up.
Hope you enjoy all my blogs to come!
